It's Official: ROB ZOMBIE To Support HEAVEN AND HELL This Fall

June 5, 2007

As BLABBERMOUTH.NET first reported on June 1, LiveNation.com has now confirmed that ROB ZOMBIE will fill the direct-support slot on the next leg of HEAVEN AND HELL's U.S. tour, which is scheduled to kick off early September. Also slated to appear is QUEENSRŸCHE. So far only one date has been leaked: Sunday, September 9 at the Tweeter Center for the Performing Arts in Mansfield, Massachusetts.

ROB ZOMBIE's first-ever live album is scheduled for release in August via Geffen. The CD was recorded over several nights during the band's "Educated Horses" tour and will include a 36-page super-deluxe book of never-before-seen live pictures and a DVD of live footage and animated videos. It was mixed by Zombie and producer Scott Humphrey.

As previously reported, Zombie is putting together a WHITE ZOMBIE box set containing "everything we ever recorded," according to the singer. "I am currently transferring all the early shit from the original tapes," he previously said. "No remixing going on here — everything will be as it was originally recorded. Don't know when this box set will be available, but it is slowly moving forward. This will be the final word on WHITE ZOMBIE."

ROB ZOMBIE's first-ever career retrospective, "Past, Present & Future", has sold more than a million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The two-disc set, which was released in September 2003 through Geffen Records, contains a CD of 19 digitally remastered selections and a DVD of 10 music videos, including three that were previously unreleased.

QUEENSRŸCHE will release the "Mindcrime at the Moore" double CD ($24.98) and double DVD ($29.99) on June 26 via all physical retail outlets (on Rhino Records) and www.rhino.com. The album will also be available at all digital retail outlets for a suggested retail price of $14.99. An iTunes exclusive version featuring a video of "The Chase" with Ronnie James Dio will be available for $15.99. The CD includes singer and chief songwriter Geoff Tate along with guitarists Michael Wilton and Mike Stone, bassist Eddie Jackson and drummer Scott Rockenfield performing all 32 mindcrime tracks plus a two-song encore featuring their signature hits — "Jet City Woman" and "Walk In The Shadows". The DVD features the same performance expanded with bonus material including a tour documentary, a featurette on the band's "Rock & Ride Across America" charity motorcycle ride for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, and a live performance of "The Chase" from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, featuring Ronnie James Dio's only public appearance as Dr. X.
